A Day Without Children (Keep Your kid’s home)
March 14 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pmFree
It’s time to address school shootings in the United States. Our children have a right to feel safe while getting an education and it’s time the Government took action to make that happen!
On MARCH 14th make an impact by keeping your children home from school. Have classrooms sit empty. Take the time to talk to your children about gun violence and have a moment of silence with them to honor all the students lost to these tragedies.
Have each young person in your home write a letter about how these shootings affect their education and their daily experience. Take that letter directly to a politicians office or send it in the mail or even an email. MAKE YOUR CHILDREN’S VOICES HEARD.
For those who can – make signs and take to the streets and stand outside your city halls or your official’s offices and make them see your kid. Make them take notice of the pain and fear our children live with every single day.
Maybe, just maybe, if we had A Day Without Children we’ll make big enough statement for our politicians to take action.
On MARCH 14th, keep your kids home and use the hashtag #ADayWithoutChildren to raise awareness to all those traumatized by school gun violence.
