Indivisible Town Hall for Poliquin (Bangor)

February 25, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

It’s recess for Congress this week – an opportunity for members to go home and meet with their constituents, to address their concerns and answer their questions about what’s going on in Congress.

We asked Congressman Poliquin to host a Town Hall. We waited. Since the Congressman has not put together a public meeting with his constituents, several Maine Indivisible groups came together to organize one for him.

Indivisible believes in the importance of holding our elected representatives in Congress accountable, and in expressing our concerns directly to them. We’ve invited him to come speak at our Town Hall. So far, he has not accepted that invitation.

But we’re going to meet, anyway.

Many of us are deeply concerned by what is happening right now in our government under the Trump administration and the majority Republican Congress. We believe we should be given the chance to speak directly with our Congressmen about those issues.

Please join us for an opportunity to share your stories, express your concerns, and ask your questions regarding actions currently being taken by Congres, as well as Congressman Poliquin’s position regarding action being taken by the White House. We plan to tape this event and share it with Congressman Poliquin’s staff, so he can see for himself what his constituents had to say. If you plan to speak, please bring a printed copy of what you intend to say, so we can submit that to the Congressman, as well.
Media will be invited.

This is an inclusive event designed to offer a platform for all Mainers to come out and be heard by their Representative.
We hope you’ll join us.
