Patients Parade to Rep. Poliquin
When: Saturdays: March 13, 25 and April 1 from noon to 1pm
Where: Oakland-Sidney United Methodist Church, 20 W. School St., Oakland. Gathering, Beginning and Ending at church parking lot
Who: Maine 2nd district patients, caretakers, health care providers and health care consumers.
Why: WE INSIST ON THE PRESERVATION OF THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
Our 2nd district congressman, Bruce Poliquin calls the Republican proposed health bill “much needed health insurance relief” which, in his words, will replace the “ rapidly failing” ACA . Rep Poliquin is reported to spend weekends in his hometown of Oakland giving the patients, their caretakers and all second district health care consumers the opportunity to sound out:
Rep. Poliquin: PRESERVE THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
The House Republican leadership is pushing the House to pass its health care act by April 8 so legislators don’t have to listen to their constituents during the April 10- 28 congressional recess.
The Only Time to speak up and out is during the next 3 weeks:
There will be opportunity to provide personal testimonials, media has been invited.
in the event of inclement weather cancellation of the event will be posted on the Where’s Bruce Poliquin? facebook page no later than 10 am.
Additional Information: Route is no more than 3/4 mile with two stops. Folks are welcome to remain at the Gathering site if they feel unable to walk the route.
Since Rep. Poliquin is reluctant to meet with constituents due to “security’ concerns, there will be an opportunity to have statements videotaped for delivery to his office.
