When: Saturdays: March 18, 25 and April 1 from noon to 1pm
Where: Oakland-Sidney United Methodist Church, 20 W. School St., Oakland. Gathering, Beginning and Ending at church parking lot
Who: Maine 2nd district patients, caretakers, health care providers and health care consumers.
Why: WE INSIST ON THE PRESERVATION OF THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
Our 2nd district congressman, Bruce Poliquin calls the Republican proposed health bill “much needed health insurance relief” which, in his words, will replace the “ rapidly failing” ACA . Rep Poliquin is reported to spend weekends in his hometown of Oakland giving the patients, their caretakers and all second district health care consumers the opportunity to sound out:

The House Republican leadership is pushing the House to pass its health care act by April 8 so legislators don’t have to listen to their constituents during the April 10- 28 congressional recess.

Additional Information: The parade route is no more than 3/4 mile with two stops along the way. Folks unable to join the parade may remain at the Gathering parking lot
Constituents will have the opportunity to have their statements to Rep Poliquin videotaped; these will be brought to his office.
