People’s Forum on Health Care (Portland)

March 27, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Health Care is a Human Right campaign of the Southern Maine Workers’ Center is inviting Portland’s state representatives to witness health care testimonies from their constituents; stories that will highlight that there can be no adequate replacement for the ACA other than a universal, publicly-funded health care system. Now is not the time to make concessions, and we invite anyone in Portland with a story about navigating and surviving our current system to join us & make a testimony. We will also provide time for legislators to respond and outline if & how they will champion the human right to health care at the state house. Now more than ever, we must demand institutions that put our human rights at the center.

Child care & programming, refreshments, and rides available. Contact ronald@maineworkers.org to share your story or to arrange transportation to the event. More information about the Workers’ Center and the HCHR campaign available at www.maineworkers.org.

Additional Information: Families/kids/youth encouraged to attend.
