Portland is the only city to sign on and commit to the Paris Climate Accord. The city signed on in June and Representative Ben Collings will be asked to speak to the importance of keeping the city committed, what actions they’ll take to stay invested, and call upon other Maine leaders to also commit. Phil Coupe, CoFounder of ReVision Energy, will talk about solar and sustainable energy progress and benefits in Maine and what Mainers can do to help contribute to progress. Sean Mahoney from CLF will discuss our biggest barriers when it comes to staying committed to the PCA and how we can overcome these challenges. Beth Ahearn will emcee the event, talk about MCVs commitment to the environment and will encourage community members to take action.
