Tax March Color Guard Workshop w/ LOWD (Portland)
April 10, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Protests shouldn’t be boring. Join us for a workshop to make flags and learn simple synchronized steps and chants in preparation for thePresident Trump: Release Your Taxes Rally-Portland, ME.
This event will be the kick-off for the League of Women Doers (LOWD), an effort to make a powerful unifying visual statement at rallies and protests that centers the issues surrounding ALL women and families. Utilizing dress in a singular color, flags with simple choreography, and chants tailored to each cause, LOWD will embody a powerful visual statement of unity, strength and resistance.
On April 15 Tax Marches across the country will demand President Trump to release his tax returns and come clean about his business dealings, as presidential candidates and presidents have done for decades.
Workshop led by Anne Marie Purkey Levine and Emily Straubel of League of Women Doers (LOWD)
