Visit to Susan Collin’s Office (Bangor)

May 23, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

VISIT TO SUSAN COLLINS’ OFFICE TUESDAY ACTION May 23 @ 12NOON (meet outside the Federal Building on Harlow St in Bangor at 1145am to discuss our message prior to going in).

We’ll meet with Senator Collins’ State Office Representative, Carol Woodcock.

We’ll tell Senator Collins we’re pleased that a special prosecutor has been appointed to take over the Justice Department investigation of Trump and Russia, but it’s just the beginning!

We’ll let her know that an independent commission is needed, similar to the 9/11 Commission, that will operate completely independently of all other branches of government.

Additionally, we’ll remind Senator Collins that the American people want her to do all she can to stop the AHCA from becoming law and that single payer is the best solution for all.

Food AND Medicine and a few other groups were invited to meet with Senator King on May 22 in the am. Each group was limited to bringing 3 individuals.

We’ll bypass visiting with Senator King’s staff in light of a recent meeting.

Those who choose can head down to Congressman Poliquin’s office to let him know we haven’t forgotten about the American Health Care Act. The bill will roll back taxes on the wealthy that were created to help pay for aspects of Obamacare. We’ll ask him how much of a tax cut he’ll receive from this bill he voted to pass.

This is a great opportunity to be engaged in the political process at this critical time in our nation’s history.
